HEART IN A HEADLOCK

by - March 25, 2013

We've been to many beautiful places before but there is one place where my boyfriend and I left our hearts unexpectedly. Just a couple of weeks ago, iluko singer/song writer/producer Charls Angel, popularly known as the producer of hilarious iluko songs like "Pungan" and "Bassit a Trak" and other iluko love songs, tapped EM Prods for a music video project for Adam's upcoming Iluko song collection that'll be played and watched on their little town fiesta. The moment Eric blocked the date and told me about it, i couldn't wait to escape the city. It even got better when I knew it was going to be a 3-day shoot since it would really take a lot of time and effort if we had to get back the following day and the next.

We traveled on a late afternoon and arrived there at night time already. I felt like it was going to be a boring trip because we won't be able to see some scenery and all its glory but along the way, there were a couple of fireflies flickering distantly and I was in awe! The last time i saw a firefly, I was only in 3rd grade! As we moved in, the driver stopped the car and pointed one huge tree that was literally lit only by thousands of fireflies! I tried to take a photo of it with my phone camera but it was too dark. We couldn't use our cameras too because it was all in the trunk along with all other huge bags. All I can do was to savor the moment. I was all teary-eyed, the tree literally looked like it had christmas lights on it and the fireflies just kept on blinking... i fell in love with the place in an instant and we weren't even close to our destination. :D

The following morning, this is what greeted us. Nature at its awesomest!
Up to now, Eric and I can't explain how we left our hearts in Adams.
See for yourself. Enjoy the photos!

I regret not being able to take a pretty photo of these waterfalls. The one on top is called Pablo Falls and the lower one is Maligligay Falls. I was tooooooo tired. It rained during the trek, it was super foggy and I was close to giving up. My legs were shaking...

I had to remove my slippers and walk barefoot because it was too slippery and there were parts where the soil was crumbly. One wrong move and I'm dead!

Here's why I almost gave up. We were literally walking on the edge of a mountain on a rainy day and there were only vines or roots to hold on to. I just had to suck it all in and keep on moving. :(
